A user-friendly interface for the quick and simple imaging or restoration of data, with O&O DiskImage 2 you can create images of entire computers or single drives. Once created, should you have problems with your computer, your old data is immediately at your disposal again. Simply restore the image and your computer is back to where it was before!

O&O DiskImage 2 can perform either an incremental imaging or just as easily image an entire system. The imaged data can then be encrypted and also compressed to various different levels. The splitting of images onto different storage volumes can either be individually set or O&O DiskImage will automate the splitting. Should only particular files or directories from an image be required, it is not necessary to restore the whole image. Images can be mounted as drives with O&O DiskImage enabling direct access to individual files or directories.

Different Image Formats O&O DiskImage 2 offers two alternatives to choose from when imaging data: a complete image or an incremental image. The complete image provides yet more flexibility with the offer of either an image of the used sectors only or a forensic image of the storage medium with a restoration in mind. With an incremental image, you save both disk space and time as only the changes since the last image are saved. All image files created contain detailed structural information. Even in situations where some image files are lost, a recovery of the remaining data is still possible.

Compression and encryption O&O DiskImage 2 Professional Edition offers a quick and efficient compression procedure specifically optimized for Microsoft Windows. The high-performance encryption function in accordance with AES (128, 196 and 256-bit) provides the highest level of security against access to your valuable data. Encrypted data can only be read with use of your password. Encryption and compression can be configured individually for every image, including incremental images. The readout of meta data is also possible where a password is unavailable.

Splitting Image Files Images can be split into either traditional portions (CD, DVD etc.) or also on user-defined scales. An automatic split is also possible, when for example the target drive is full or the maximum file size for the file system has been reached. Compression and encryption for every image can be individually selected too.

64-bit and Multiprocessor Support Thanks to its native support of 64- bit and multicore architecture the creation or restoration of an image is significantly accelerated. O&O DiskImage 2 Professional Edition is completely compatible with Windows Vista.

System Restoration with the Start CD Our BareMetal technology enables you to use O&O DiskImage 2 Professional Edition and revive a system without prior installation of the software. For this an especially designed start CD is available, making the creation of a rescue CD unnecessary. The CD is based on Microsoft Windows Vista and contains all standard drivers included in Windows, eliminating the need on most systems for the complicated loading of extra drivers.

Hardware	To install under Windows there must be at least 256MB of RAM available. A minimum of 512 MB is required for running O&O Start CD.
Administrative Privileges	In order to install and register O&O DiskImage you must be a member of a local administrator group or possess an equivalent level of privileges. If you are a domain administrator, then you must possess the adequate level of administrative privileges.
