The Acronis Universal Restore plug-in for True Image Server allows you to restore a True Image disk image to different hardware or to a virtual machine, providing complete disaster recovery.

The process is simple... with this plug-in active, True Image allows you to create a Universal Restore boot disk. This boot disk is used to start the PC into the memory-resident Universal Restore Agent, from where you can select any backup image file - as per standard True Image. However, unlike standard True Image, during the restore process Universal Restore detects any hardware changes and installs appropriate drivers for Hardware Abstraction Layer and disk controllers (SCSI and IDE).
